Turn your open-head drum into a secure storage container that's easy to open. The PIG® Open-Head Drum Funnel satisfies closed container requirements but avoids the constant removal of a drum collar for access.
Product Description
- Replaces the lid of a standard, open-head steel drum; mounts onto drum with existing bolt ring
- Tall profile allows you to drain up to a 5-gallon bucket with the lid securely latched (screen sold separately)
- Won't leak or detach, even if drum tips over
- Can be padlocked (lock not included) to prevent unauthorized access to drum contents
- Durable, powder-coated finish resists chipping
- Multiple colors are available, so you can color code your drums

40 CFR 262.34(c) - Hazardous waste generators may accumulate 55 gallons of hazardous waste or one quart of acutely hazardous waste in containers marked "hazardous waste," at or near the point of generation, under the control of the operator generating the waste. Waste in excess of this amount must be removed from the area within three days.
40 CFR 264.1086(c)(1)(ii) - Level one containers must have closure devices that, "form a continuous barrier over the container openings." When these closure devices are in place, there can be, "no visible holes, gaps or other open spaces into the interior of the container."
40 CFR 264.173 - Containers holding hazardous waste, "must always be closed during storage, except when it is necessary to add or remove waste."
