We are excited to announce three storm preparedness training courses coming soon! These courses are designed to guide facilities through all phases of the storm… from advance planning to active preparation and post-storm recovery.
Here’s a little more about the coming courses:
Storm Preparedness: Pre-Storm Planning and Inspections
This course takes a look at many of the planning pitfalls that can cause failures at the worst possible time. From overlooking the chance of a significant storm event like Superstorm Sandy to communications networks being unavailable, this course covers commonly overlooked factors in planning and the steps to creating a meaningful storm preparedness plan for your facility.
Storm and Flood Response Tactics
When a storm is actively moving toward your location, the well-prepared facility will not panic, but rather will move with purpose through the actions of its pre-storm plan. This course walks through the steps that many facilities will need to take when a major storm or flood event is imminent and the realities of an impending emergency.
Storm Recovery: Post-storm Checks and Inspections
After the storm, potential dangers to people and equipment are still present, especially when facilities or grounds have been damaged. After emergency personnel allow you to return to your facility, there are many steps that need to be taken to help ensure a safe and efficient recovery. This course walks through the checks a facility will need to begin to recover from a storm event.
