The quick latching lids work perfect for containers that you put used oily waste in, but have to be kept closed all the time.
Lever a little stiff at first but is loosening up, but overall a great product!
Getting a whole plant full of employees to follow compliance requirements is often difficult. This product takes away the issue of drums never being closed. One worry off my back.
Great lid for our application; easy open/close for regulated material. Safe, stands out, improved our process for handling and storage of waste materials.
Great product, the lever is a little stiff but still a great product.
Love these lids, I'v used them in past places of employment. The only negative aspect is that it's not easy to open and close if you don't have upper body strength. I've worked with inhouse machine shops to modify the original handle to one bigger decresing the torque required to open and close the lids.
Very pleaseed with the Drum Lid very sound built
Operators love these for ease of operation. No more fuss with drum rings and bolts and keeps you in compliance for you Haz Waste Satellite Accumulation Area's. Title 40: Protection of Environment § 264.173 Management of containers. (a) A container holding hazardous waste must always be closed during storage, except when it is necessary to add or remove waste. (b) A container holding hazardous waste must not be opened, handled, or stored in a manner which may rupture the container or cause it to leak. Additional guidance specific to this rule states that the container must be "spill proof and vapor tight". So the answer to the question is yes, a quick ring will comply with the regulation assuming it is closed and latched and especially since the waste material in this specific drum is solid.
